Mada – Assistive Technology Center Qatar is a private institution for public benefit, which was founded in 2010 as an initiative that aims at promoting digital inclusion and building a technology-based community that meets the needs of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Qatar. Mada today is the world’s Center of Excellence in digital access in Arabic, as we were able to get Qatar to rank first worldwide on the Digital Accessibility Rights Evaluation Index (DARE) 2020, issued by the United Nation’s Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies (G3ict).

• Digital Accessibility Services-  Mada provides digital accessibility consulting services and accreditation for digital platforms in accordance with international standards to support the right of persons with disabilities to access information independently.
• Training a & Capability Building-  Mada Academy works to promote open and inclusive digital education opportunities, and provides quality accessible online and blended training courses, as well as face-to-face training workshops, in a wide range of cutting-Edge topics, with a focus on information and communication technologies (ICTs) accessibility, assistive technology, and inclusive education. 
• Assistive Technology Services-  The Mada Center is dedicated to enabling individuals with disabilities to enhance their independence with the use of assistive technology. 
• Inclusive Digital Education-  Mada Center developed this platform to be accessible to support distance education as an initiative aimed at enabling the education sector to ensure the inclusiveness of education for all students, especially those with disabilities or functional limitations. 
• MadaLab is a state-of-the-art showcase featuring the latest cutting-edge assistive technologies and accessible solutions related to improving digital access for Persons with Disabilities in the Arabic-speaking region and beyond. MadaLab serves as an Innovation hub for innovators, solution providers, users, and ICT & AT experts.
